What you're getting
Silk protein peptide in both steps
Inspired by one of nature's strongest fibres. Silk protein, hydrolyzed into peptides small enough to cling to the cuticle rather than rinse away — in the shampoo and in the conditioner, so the second step finishes what the first one starts.
Scalp reboot formula
Copper peptide, panthenol (vitamin B5), heartleaf extract and salicylic acid for a clarified, refreshed scalp.
Premium fragrance ritual
Herbal rosemary and peach top notes, floral middle notes, and a musk woody base turn everyday washing into a salon-like ritual.
Smoother from the first wash
You feel the slip immediately — the comb moves differently. Shine builds over the following two to three weeks as the cuticle stays consistently smooth.
Made in Korea
Formulated and manufactured in South Korea, where this category of scalp-first haircare is furthest ahead.
The protein that makes silk feel like silk
Silk has been the benchmark for how a fibre should feel for about five thousand years, and the reason is its surface. Silk fibres are coated in a protein called sericin — it is what gives raw silk its softness, its slip, and the way it catches light.
Your hair is a protein fibre too. What separates hair that looks dull and tangles from hair that shines and combs out clean is almost entirely the condition of its outer layer, the cuticle. Heat, colour, hard water and friction rough that layer up, and once it is rough the strand catches on itself and scatters light instead of reflecting it.
That is the gap silk protein closes. The silk protein here is hydrolyzed — broken down into peptides small enough to cling to the hair's surface rather than rinse straight off. They settle along the cuticle and smooth it down. The fibre gets slipperier, so a comb pulls through instead of snagging. It gets flatter at the surface, so it reflects more light. And because these peptides are rich in serine, an amino acid that holds onto water, hair stays hydrated for longer between washes.
It is in the shampoo and it is in the conditioner. Most routines undo step one with step two — a stripping wash, then a conditioner trying to repair the damage. Here both steps push the same direction.
The shampoo
A proper cleansing shampoo. It builds a rich, fast lather, lifts out oil, product buildup and hard-water residue, and rinses out completely — carrying silk peptides down the strand as it goes, so the wash does not leave hair stripped.
The conditioner
Thicker and slower to rinse, made for the mid-lengths and ends where heat tools and colour do the most damage. The silk peptides smooth the cuticle; cetearyl alcohol and dimethicone seal over the top and give the comb something to glide on. Two minutes is enough to change how the ends behave once hair is dry.
Who it is for
Dry, colour-treated, heat-styled or frizzy hair that needs slip and shine more than it needs a treatment. Safe for colour. If you prefer sulfate-free formulas, this is not one — it is a traditional lathering shampoo.

How it works
The protein that makes silk feel like silk
It clings
Hair carries a slight negative charge, and silk peptides carry positive sites along their chains. They are drawn to the strand and stay there through the rinse instead of washing away.
It fills and flattens
The peptides settle into the microscopic gaps where cuticle scales have lifted or chipped, and lie down across the surface as a fine film.
Friction drops
A smoother surface means less drag, so the comb pulls through instead of catching. Catching is where a great deal of everyday breakage actually begins.
Light behaves
A flat surface reflects light in one direction rather than scattering it. That is shine. It is not added to hair; it is what an intact surface does.
What to expect
It builds
Wash one
You will feel the slip first. The comb moves differently — that is immediate, and it is the easiest thing to notice.
Week one to two
Shine starts showing up as the cuticle stays consistently smoother instead of being roughed up and patched each wash.
Week three onward
The difference in how hair behaves as it dries — less frizz lifting, ends sitting better. This is the part people tend to comment on.
Customer reviews
From our customers
My biggest issue has always been that my hair looks dry and dull even right after I wash it. This is the first shampoo and conditioner combo I've used where my hair actually catches the light and looks polished without adding an oil afterward. The silk peptide was what convinced me to try it, and that's definitely what makes this feel different from the usual drugstore formulas.
I kept seeing skincare products talk about peptides, so seeing silk peptide in a shampoo immediately caught my attention. My ends usually feel rough and snag when I brush them, especially after blow drying. Since switching, the comb goes through much more easily and my hair feels noticeably silkier. It genuinely feels like someone finally took the ingredient philosophy behind good skincare and applied it to hair.
I bought this because of the silk peptide and honestly didn't expect to notice much right away. After the first few washes, my hair felt smoother and way easier to brush through. It just feels healthier and less rough.
I have fine hair, so I'm always scared that moisturizing products are going to leave it flat. This didn't. My hair feels softer and smoother but still light. Huge win for me.
Honestly shocked peptide shampoo isn't already everywhere. I use peptides in my skincare, so this immediately made sense to me. The formula feels luxurious, my hair is easier to manage, and I love that the silk peptide is in both the shampoo and conditioner instead of being treated like some tiny add-on ingredient.
I've tried so many 'repair' shampoos that made huge promises and basically felt the same as everything else. What I like about this one is that my hair simply looks and feels better. Less frizz, less roughness, and much easier to style. The silk protein peptide is such an interesting ingredient and honestly feels like the next big thing in haircare.
My hair gets dry from heat styling and by the end of the week it normally feels pretty rough. I started using the shampoo and conditioner together and the biggest thing I noticed was how much softer the strands felt when they dried. There's also way less resistance when I run a brush through it. I had never heard of silk peptides in haircare before this, but it makes so much sense now.
I was sold on the silk peptide concept. After using it, I'm even more sold. My hair feels smooth, shiny, and noticeably less tangled.
Peptides in shampoo sounded kind of crazy at first, but now I'm wondering why this isn't in every hair product. My hair feels ridiculously soft.
The difference for me is the texture. My hair used to feel almost squeaky and tangled after shampooing. Now it feels soft before I even put conditioner in.
Common questions
What does the silk protein peptide actually do?
It is a conditioning agent. Silk protein is hydrolyzed into peptides small enough to cling to the outside of the hair, where it smooths the cuticle, cuts friction and helps the fibre hold onto water. That is why hair combs easier and catches more light.
Where is it made?
Made in Korea.
How does it smell?
Herbal rosemary and peach on the opening, florals through the heart, and a musk-and-wood base that stays with the hair after it dries.
Is it sulfate-free?
No. It is a traditional lathering shampoo built on sodium laureth sulfate.
Is it safe for colour-treated hair?
Yes. It will not lift colour or leave a fresh dye job looking dull.
Can my hair get too much protein?
It can. Hair that is already protein-rich, or low-porosity hair, can go stiff and straw-like if you keep adding protein. If that is you, use this 2 to 3 times a week and alternate with a plain moisturising wash.
Will the conditioner weigh down fine hair?
It should not, as long as you keep it off the roots. Apply from the mid-lengths down and rinse with cool water.
How big are the bottles?
100 ml (3.38 fl oz) each. They are compact — roughly 4 to 5 weeks of washing for short-to-medium hair, less for long or thick hair.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping is free on every order. Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days, then delivery typically takes 7 to 10 days. You will get tracking by email as soon as it ships.
What if it does not work for my hair?
Return it within 30 days for a full refund. Email support@shoplenix.com to start a return.
